Course Description:

This 15 weeks long course introduces the student to designing for the Web. Emphasis is placed upon the following areas: file organization, web graphics, interface design, interaction design, navigation design, HTML, CSS, form design, and multimedia. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to design and construct a a multi-page responsive web-site. This course is available during the fall semester for second year students enrolled in the full-time graphic design program.

Course description:

This 15 weeks long course introduces students to interaction design through the lens of interfaces, users, and systems. Emphasis is placed on user interface design [UI] and user experience study [UX]. Upon completion of this course students will learn a design process for interactive products, and design an interactive application. This course is currently only available as a design elective for second and third year students enrolled in the full-time graphic design program at the School of Design of George Brown College.

Course Description:

This 15 weeks long course focuses on building rich interactive websites with content and visual elements changing in response to user actions, by manipulating the HTML DOM (Document Object Model), using Javascript, HTML and CSS. Students will use the JQuery library, one of the most widely used open­source JavaScript libraries, as well as deepen their understanding of JavaScript programming constructs. Throughout the course students will engage in a series of technical assignments and an interactive website design project. This course is available as an elective during the fall semester for third year students enrolled in the full-time graphic design program.
